The U.S. Section of the International Boundary and Water Commission (USIBWC) Lower Rio Grande Citizens Forum board held an in-person and virtual public meeting on

Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 3-5pm CST.

• Commissioner Giner & USIBWC Water Accounting staff, presented on updates to ongoing minute negotiations and will share results of research requested by area stakeholders on the basis for water delivers under the 1944 Water Treaty. Staff will also discuss modeling tools under development by the commission, International Dams “critical levels”, Amistad Penstock, and short-terms impacts.
